The 13th ISTRY conference will be held in Sydney - Australia from the 7th to the 9th of November 2012.

Situated on the East Coast of Australia, Sydney is a vibrant and dynamic city with a rich history and world famous tourist attractions. While in Sydney you can visit the beautiful Blue Mountains for the wine region of the Hunter Valley.

1. GENERAL INFORMATION

The venue for the conference is the Sydney Masonic Centre located in the heart of Sydney on Goulburn Street.

Located on the outskirts of Darling Harbour, it is within walking distance from all major attractions like the Sydney Opera House, the Sydney Harbour Bridge, Sydney CBD and much more.

The following subjects will be discussed:
1) New methods and tools to detect and quantify Tryptophan and its metabolites.
2) Indoleamine 2,3--‐dioxygenase (IDO) and tryptophan 2,3--‐dioxygenase (TDO) structure and function in biology and medicine.
3) Serotonin and melatonin in neurobiology and pharmacology.
4) Tryptophan--‐kynurenine pathway metabolites and their receptors in brain and periphery.
5) NAD+ synthesis and metabolism.
6) Nutrition aspect of TRP And its metabolites (appetite, eating disorders and obesity).
7) Tryptophan metabolism and immune response.
8) Tryptophan metabolism in pathology Part 1.
9) Tryptophan metabolism in pathology Part 2.
10) Therapeutic strategies targeting tryptophan metabolism.

 

2.ACCOMODATION

We have negotiated special rates for the conference with the Novotel Rockford in Darling Harbour. Situated within 10 minutes walk of the Sydney Masonic Centre, it is the perfect location to relax and unwind at the end of each day.

You can stay in either a king room (comprising of one king bed) or share a double room (comprising of 2 king single beds). Each room can accomodate up to 2 people and the price per room is $239 AUD including one breakfast. Additional breakfast is $22.50 This price is valid from the night of the 6th of November till the night of the 9th of November 2012.
