Why be a Member?

Membership of the ISTRY Society entitles you to:

  1. Access to networking and information exchange with an international membership of professionals devoted to furthering tryptophan related research: Society’s networking to other related Interest Groups, and social media including the Society’s Twitter feed
  2. Discounted registration fees for ISTRY Meetings
  3. Receive e-newsletter and updated information about the most current insight in tryptophan-related research
  4. Your publication related to tryptophan research will be featured in our media platform for better visibility to the right targeted audience
  5. Posting of job and event adverts on the ISTRY website (currently in progress)
  6. Having the eligibility to apply for Student or Postdoc Travel Awards**

Associate Member

Student: Applicable to any student who is registered as being in full-time or part-time education, studying for either an undergraduate degree (e.g. BSc, or MD) or higher degree (i.e. MSc, PhD). Applicants must send a scanned copy of valid student card (with expiring date) confirming their student status to info@istry.org at the time of applying or renewal.

Postdoctoral: Applicable to post-doctoral who had awarded a PhD under 5 years. Applicants must attached proof of their PhD completion date (or equivalent) with university letterhead to info@istry.org at the time of applying or renewal.

Ordinary Member

Applicable to individual (e.g. academic, non-profit, and governmental scientist) with a professional and active interest in field related to tryptophan and have published in refereed journals.

Honorary Member

Applicable to a Member who have made outstanding and long-term contribution to the field of tryptophan-related research and have been approved by the Executive Committee. Member should have maintained active membership for at least the preceding 10 years to be eligible.

Emeritus Member

Applicable to a Member who reaches the age of 65 years or retired from active research and has maintained active membership for at least the preceding 10 years may upon application to the executive committee for eligibility.

Privacy:

Your privacy is of utmost importance to us and we are committed to protecting your personal information. A list of subscribing members will be used for official publications of the Society (such as International Journal for Tryptophan Research) but for no other purpose than fulfilling subscriptions and promoting the Society. Only members who had given their consent during the time of application for disclosure of their information pertaining to their professional email contact and research-related information will be taken into consideration for official publications. Your personal information is not and will never be released or sold to any agency or third party.
